Derbyshire / Peak District Bushcraft & Wilderness Skill Courses
COVID 19 UPDATE – 08 June 2021
We are pleased to say we are now open and looking forward to welcoming you to the woods after a long lockdown.
We will be following all government guidance as to suitable group sizes and as guidance changes so may the numbers we allow, this will be made clear when you book.
We have taken all steps possible to ensure there are suitable handwashing / hygiene facilities in the woods, in fact our 'sanitation station' gets rave reviews !
If, as a family, you wish to come and have a private day which will allow for better social distancing then we will be happy to arrange that. The day can obviously be tailored to your family's requirements.
Our calendar has been updated to show 'public' courses that you can book on but if you would prefer a private session, just get in touch and let's talk.
We look forward to welcoming you to the woods.
Based in and around the fantastic Peak District National Park and within easy travel distance of Manchester, Sheffield and Birmingham we offer bushcraft, wilderness and survival skills courses in a friendly relaxed environment to enable you to learn the skills you want. We have several standard courses for adults or families but also offer private skills courses which can be tuned to your personal requirements.
If your company is in need of a team building / development day or maybe a stag, hen or birthday party then we can also cover that. We can provide schools with curriculum linked outdoor activities suitable for KS2, 3 & 4.
Take a look at our courses page or if you would like to learn a specific skill or two then get in touch and let’s see what we can arrange. We could even come to your site if that’s more convenient.
Please choose an option below for more details, pick a course or make your own course with private tuition.

I thought it was pitched brilliantly for the age of the children, more challenging and more involved than I was expecting and much better for it. The way you managed to get 7 children all safely having a go at starting their own fires... meanwhile the big fire getting toasty for the marshmallows etc, the perfect way to end a party. We could have had fun for 4 hours easily, it felt a shame to end.
I also thought it was very stress-free for me and great value for money, when you saw what the kids learnt and how much fun we all had.Gail
